Notice of Water Rate Increase

Dear SRWC members,

Stokes Regional Water Corp (SRWC) has not had rate increases over the past eight years. However, with the rising cost of materials, replacing key components of critical infrastructure, resulting in increased efficiency, reliability, and security, we are compelled to increase our rates.

The facility fee charged to each meter, regardless of usage, would be $48.25 per billing cycle (2 months).

Rate would be as follows:

0 to 2,999                         $7.50 per thousand gallons

3,000 to 5,999                $7.75 per thousand gallons

6,000 to 9,999                $8.00 per thousand gallons

10,000 to 19,999           $8.25 per thousand gallons

20,000 to 49,999           $8.50 per thousand gallons

50,000 to 69,999           $8.75 per thousand gallons

70,000 to 89,999           $9.00 per thousand gallons

90,000 to109,999         $9.25 per thousand gallons

110,000 to 129,999     $9.50 per thousand gallons

130,000 and greater    $9.75 per thousand gallons

EXAMPLE OF RATE INCREASE

5,500 gallons of water used in a (2) month billing cycle your water bill would be $89.50

10,000 gallons of water used in a (2) month billing cycle your water bill would be $130.75

22,000 gallons of water used in a (2) month billing cycle your water bill would be $235.25

The new rate increase will take effect on March 1, 2025.
